In this approach, concepts are rooted in social developments; In such a way that with the change and development in the society and the field of action, the concepts also change in terms of meaning and function. The question of this essay is how to understand and interpret the relationship between political practice and political theory and whether conceptual history can explain this relationship in a way that the researcher, besides exploring it, fulfills his responsibility of constructing a better society and a better world. The assumption is that conceptual history can both present the most appropriate interpretation of the quality of existence of affairs and opens horizon of future for intervening social affairs; in a way that the realm of the researcher’s action in a position of a theoretical actor is determined. Using descriptive and analytical method, this essay introduces conceptual history. This article seeks to comprehend and interpret conceptual history in the context of modern understanding. تاریخ مفهومی، رویکردی نظری برای رسیدن به فهمی نوین از اندیشه و کنش سیاسی در گذر زمان و در بستر تحولات سیاسی- اجتماعی است. در این رویکرد، مفاهیم ریشه در تحولات اجتماعی دارند؛ به گونه‎ای که با تغییر و تحول در جامعه و حوزۀ کنش، مفاهیم نیز از نظر معنا و کارکرد دچار تغییر می‌شوند. پرسش این نوشتار، چگونگی فهم و تفسیر نسبت کنش و نظر سیاسی است و اینکه آیا رویکرد تاریخ مفهومی می‎تواند این نسبت را به نحوی توضیح دهد که پژوهشگر علاوه بر کشف این مهم، به مسئولیت خود برای ساختن جامعه و جهان بهتر نیز بپردازد. فرض ما این است که تاریخ مفهومی می‎تواند تفسیری مناسب‌ از نحوۀ بودن امور و تجربیات تاریخی را ارائه دهد و افق آینده را برای مداخله در امور اجتماعی بازگذارد، به نحوی که قلمرو کنش پژوهشگر در مقام نظرورز کنشگر نیز مشخص شود. این نوشتار با روش توصیفی- ‌تحلیلی به معرفی این رویکرد می‎پردازد. تلاش ما این است که شرایط امکان ارائه درکی مفهومی از پدیده‌های سیاسی در بستر فهمی مدرن را شرح دهیم. http://political.ihss.ac.ir/fa/Article/Download/16205
