The President has an important and decisive position in the Iranian Constitution, which stems from the direct vote of the people, the ratification of the Supreme Leader, the representation of Iran's national sovereignty in relation to other countries, and its symbolic national face.Today, when the power of states and governments has diminished and, instead, human and individual responsibilities have been highlighted in various spheres of society, politics, and economy and in common human issues, the position of the President, according to new readings, acquires such capacities.Today, as the power of states and governments has diminished and, instead, human and individual responsibilities have been highlighted in various spheres of society, politics, and economics and in common human issues, the position of the President, according to new readings, acquires such capacities.The question of this research is what is the role and position of the president in the constitution according to the efficiency indicators and how can this position be promoted in practice to increase his efficiency? The position of the President is studied in this article with the aim of recognizing and explaining the new possibilities of political action.This effort is based on the components of efficiency within the normative institutional theory. The results show that all the human and cultural content of Constitution can show and reveal new functional aspects for president according to those components. نهادهای سیاسی در پرتو تحول اندیشه و نظریه‌های سیاسی می‌توانند امکانات و محدودیت‌های جدید را نشان دهند. رئیس‌جمهور در قانون اساسی کشورمان، جایگاه مهم و تعیین کننده‌ای دارد که برآمده از رأی مستقیم مردم، تنفیذ مقام رهبری، نمایندگی حاکمیت ملی ایران در نسبت با سایر کشورها و چهرۀ نمادین ملی است. امروزه که از قدرت دولت‌ها و حکومت‌ها فروکاسته شده و در عوض مسئولیت‌های انسانی و فردی در قلمروهای مختلف جامعه، سیاست و اقتصاد و در مسایل مشترک بشری برجسته شده است، جایگاه رئیس‌جمهور نیز بر اساس خوانش‌های تازه، واجد چنین ظرفیت‌هایی می‌شود. پرسش این پژوهش این بود که نقش و جایگاه رئیس‌جمهور در قانون اساسی با توجه به شاخص‌های کارآمدی چیست و چگونه می‌توان این جایگاه را در عمل ارتقا داد تا کارآمدی نیز درجه بالاتری را تجربه کند. جایگاه رئیس‌جمهور در این مقاله با هدف شناخت و تبیین امکانات جدید عمل سیاسی مطالعه می‌شود. این موضوع بر مبنای مؤلفه‌های کارآمدی و درون نظریۀ نهادگرای هنجاری بررسی می شود. یافته‌های این بررسی نشان می‌دهد که وجه عاملیتی و انسانی رئیس‌جمهور که در قانون اساسی جمهوری اسلامی ایران و به ویژه در سوگندنامه او و در ارتباطش با مردم و افکار عمومی برجسته می‌شود، بر جنبه ساختاری و سازمانی آن غلبه دارد و از این منظر می‌تواند ابعادی از اهمیت جایگاه رئیس‌جمهور را آشکار نماید. http://political.ihss.ac.ir/fa/Article/Download/15758
