One of the most important problems of the world today, is "alienation" which brings reduction for original citizenship and decay for humanity. Among those thinkers who have criticized the situation of alienation, one can mention Herbert Marcuse. According to Herbert Marcuse, realization of a better society depends on emancipation of subjects. From his point of view, the alienated man lives individually for that solidarity between such men has been suppressed effectively, where such solidarity is now the key of emancipation for the mankind. Herbert Marcuse by criticizing the problems of modern society and in contrast to the alienation of the human beings, prepare an alternative situation which contains the characteristics of original citizenship where people cooperate and have powerful links with one another instead of staying individual and isolated. بسیاری از اندیشمندان سیاسی که دغدغه انسان و انسانیت را داشته‌اند، در جست وجوی رهایی بشر به نقد معضلات جامعۀ مدرن پرداخته‌اند. یکی از مهم‌ترین معضلات جهان امروز، «از خود بیگانگی» است که موجب فرو کاستن شهروندی تباهی بشر می‌شود. «هربرت مارکوزه» از جمله اندیشمندانی است که به انتقاد از وضعیت از خود بیگانگی بشر پرداخته است. برای هربرت مارکوزه، تحقق یک جامعۀ بهتر، به رهاییِ سوژه‌ها وابسته است. از نظر مارکوزه، انسان‌های از خود بیگانۀ امروز، به ‌صورت منفرد می‌زیند؛ زیرا همبستگی میان آنها به شکل مؤثری سرکوب‌شده است، اما این همبستگی اکنون شرط رهایی بشر است. او در نقد معضلات جامعۀ مدرن و در تقابل با از خود بیگانگی بشر، وضعیت بدیلی را به تصویر می‌کشد که مختصات شهروندی را دارد؛ شهروندی که به‌ جای انفراد و انزوا و دوری گزینی از خویشتن، با «هم بودگی» و تعامل با دیگران، ارتباطی وثیق و ناگسستنی دارد. http://political.ihss.ac.ir/en/Article/Download/12139
